covid 19 4922384

Since it's discovery a little over a year ago Covid 19 has left a trail of death and disruption. While we now find ourselves in the depth of winter with cases rising exponentially, there is hope in the shape of a number of vaccine programs. At the moment the Pfizer vaccine is only one approved by European authorities but hopefully the Moderna vaccine will get approval soon and there are other ones on the way.

For now the task at hand is to get control of the virus again, we have to go back to basics, we need to wear masks in all indoor settings, we need to keep up the hand hygiene and managing opur social contacts. Cooperate with the authorities, remember they are working in difficult circumstances tryin to preserve the public health, encourage others to follow the guidelines but do so in a friendly non-confrontational way.

Look after family and neighbours, keep in touch via phone, or video calls. keep an eye on the elderly make sure they know that you have their back.

In the meantime, make sure to look after your own health and welfare. Obtaining physio / physical therapy is essential healthcare and you can do so safely.

My clinic in GoGym remains open despite the fact that the gym has had to close to the general public, the owners have allowed me to have access to their premises so I can continue serving the local community. I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to the Go Gym owners for allowing this to happen. Greystones is a rapidly growing community and I would recommend the Go Gym to anyone looking for a well run, friendly clean and safe gym to take membership in Go Gym.

For the safety of my clients and myself there have been changes to how the clinics services are offered.

Making an appointment.

To make an appointment simply call 086 246 8014, leave an email at or use the message facility on this website. I will get back to you and ask about the following:

Are you suffering from the following

  • Persistent cough

  • Running a temperature

  • Experiencing flu-like aches and pains

  • Having difficulty breathing

  • Experiencing cold-like symptoms

  • Have you experienced changes in your sense of taste/smell

  • Have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid19?

  • How long ago?

  • Have you been in an institution where there has been a Covid19 outbreak?

  • How long ago?

Depending on how you answer it will decide if you can get an appointment at that time.

When you get an appointment you will receive a document stating the time and date of your appointment in case there are travel restrictions in place at the time.

What to expect at your appointment

As you arrive at the gym, I will meet you in the reception area. I will be wearing a face mask.  You will be asked to wear a mask, if you  don't have one I will provide you with one. When you come in you will be asked to sanitize your hands with an alcohol based hand rub, your temperature will be recorded electronically. You must wear the mask for the duration of the appointment.

Your appointment will be in the familiar format, during the initial consultation social distancing will be observed, but during the treatment phase, this will not be possible. At this stage it is essential that respiratory hygiene is observed, this will be explained to you.

After the appointment you will be brought down and before you leave you will advised to remove mask and dispose of it appropriately and apply fresh alcohol based hand rub.

Other differences

Previously the Clinic provided towels to facilitate draping for the comfort of patients, in the interest of infection control and prevention this will not be possible, we will need you to bring your own towels for this purpose.

In future cash cannot be taken as payment, card only transactions can be accepted.

We apologise for these changes which are designed to protect our clients and ourselves. As government advice changes we may have to amend these.

We will however make sure we maintain our usual standards of Integrity, Courtesy and Empathy.
